the staff provided super customer service! the breakfast was amazing!!! the evening restaurant meals were really good too. the room included lots of nice little touches, i found it very nice and neat. good wifi access was available too!
The plugs were taken in both the sitting room and bedroom. I couldn't charge my phone! when i asked the woman at the front desk a question, she was snippy with me. the treadmill at the gym was dangerous.

The breakfast had plenty of options each morning! The staff provided excellent restaurant recommendations. This was SO helpful. I appreciated the assistance with luggage. It made arrival smooth.
The coffee pods were not replenished daily.

The gym was disappointing. It lacked ventilation and felt quite small. the equipment was substandard for a hotel of this supposed caliber, it needed improvement. breakfast selection was limited, far from satisfactory. the bathroom also lacked ventilation, which i found to be a significant oversight, it detracted from the overall experience.

the comfort suite was spacious and clean. i found the breakfast to be fantastic with a wide choice of tasty options. the hotel's location made it easy to walk to the center and the river douro.
the hotel gave complimentary water and coffee only for the first day , which was unexpected in a four-star hotel.

i found the taxi ordering system very convenient. a machine near the main door allowed me to order a taxi with just a few details, and it arrived within minutes. breakfast had a good choice of items.
i noticed the hotel looks a bit dated. some areas in the rooms would benefit from an update.

Excellent Stay in the city

The staff was always attentive and available. I received a room upgrade and the space was very comfortable. Breakfast offered excellent local products and the cocktail bar on the 17th floor was a WONDERFUL touch.
The area surrounding the hotel looks dismal at night.

underwhelming stay , some issues noted
dated decorinflexible policy
the room was quite dated , it reminded me of stepping back into the 70s. i had to request wine glasses , which seemed a bit much. also , i was informed that taking coffee to my room was not allowed , a policy that i found inconvenient and frustrating. i expected a bit more flexibility , but these limitations soured the experience.
